Mumbai: Former Kingfisher Airline employees gathered outside Kingfisher house in Vile Parle, near airport to protest against airline chief Vijay Mallya.
The airline, which shut down its operations five years ago, has not paid close to 5000 employees their salaries and dues for a period of 18 months
"The airline owes it's employees a sum of Rs 800 crores," said Anirudh Ballal, a former Kingfisher airline official.

Meanwhile, a consortium of 13 banks had approached the Supreme Court on Tuesday to prevent controversial businessman from leaving the country. He owes the banks over Rs 9000 crore.
